1. Determine Amount of Waste



Before you rent a dumpster, you might want to make sure you know how big your project is that your getting done and determine the amount of waste.



2. Where Will You Place Your Dumpster?



Make sure you have an easily accessible spot in your yard, on your driveway, or anywhere else on your property where it can be placed. If you are planning on placing the dumpster on the street you should contact your local municipality and ask if they have any regulations. You might need to get a permit. Make sure to contact your local municipality to ask about the process of getting a permit.



3. What Can You Put in Your Dumpster?



Getting a dumpster doesn't mean you can trow anything in it. You might also have stuff that a dumpster rental company cannot take, Items like household paints, old appliances with freon, chemical cleaners, motor oil, and tires cannot go into a dumpster. When you call to order a dumpster make sure to ask what can or can not go in the dumpster.



4. Consider Weight Limits



Dumpsters have a weight limit. Each dumpster size comes with a different weight limit. so make sure to ask when you order your dumpster. If you go over the weight limit there might be additional fees.



5. Pricing



Dumpster prices depend on the size of the container, and weight of the waste. Be sure that your pricing includes all the necessary costs and fees.
